WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO. Author: Anonymous
Cancer is so limited....
It cannot cripple Love.
It cannot shatter Hope.
It cannot corrode Faith.
It cannot eat away Peace.
It cannot kill Friendship.
It cannot suppress Memories.
It cannot silence Courage.
It cannot steal Eternal Life.
It cannot conquer the Spirit.
Quote: Eleanor Roosevelt
"You can gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. The dangers lies in refusing to face the fear, in not daring to come to grips with it. You must do something you think you cannot do."
Quote: Natalie Goldberg, Writer
"Stress is an ignorant state. It believes that everything is an emergency. Nothing is that important. Just lie down."
CANCER CAN'T ROB ME. THEREFORE I CHOSE TODAY: By Judy Kneece, RN, OCN
*Peace and not anxiety,
*Good and not evil,
*Love and not hate,
*Gain and not loss,
When today becomes tomorrow, this day will be gone forever leaving in it's place what I choose today.
I, alone, can choose to use today wisely.
*Good and not evil,
*Love and not hate,
*Gain and not loss,
When today becomes tomorrow, this day will be gone forever leaving in it's place what I choose today.
I, alone, can choose to use today wisely.
Quote: Dean Martin
"When your opponent's sittin' there holdin' all the aces, there's only one thing to do: Kick over the table."
(I like to think this is describing my battle with the chemo. I plan to hold the aces in the end.)

MY PRAYER DURING BREAST CANCER. By Judy Kneece, RN, OCN
Lord, I have just received the diagnosis of Breast Cancer.
Still my anxious heart as I seek to understand.
Teach me to transform my suffering into growth,
My great fear of tomorrow into faith in your presence,
My tears into understanding,
My discouragement into courage,
My anger into forgiveness,
My bitterness into acceptance,
My experience with cancer into my testimony,
My crisis into a platform on which I can help others.
God grant that one day I can embrace this time as my friend, and not as my enemy.
Still my anxious heart as I seek to understand.
Teach me to transform my suffering into growth,
My great fear of tomorrow into faith in your presence,
My tears into understanding,
My discouragement into courage,
My anger into forgiveness,
My bitterness into acceptance,
My experience with cancer into my testimony,
My crisis into a platform on which I can help others.
God grant that one day I can embrace this time as my friend, and not as my enemy.
A card with a special meaning. I received this card and loved what it said:
Daylight will peek through a very small hole. That's how hope gets through, too. It always does....always. And it will find its way to you.
