My sincere thank you to each and every one of you!! Thank you to those who had to cross over state lines to get here and those that were just around the corner!! Hope to see you next year. You know that means a different colored bandana to add to your collection too!! I also thank and missed those who were unable to walk this year. We missed you!! Thank you to Ron the printer for making sure Team LV looked awesome in their bandanas! Thank you to friends of friends who donated to the team and also baked pink ribbon cookies that found good homes before, during and after the race!! Thanks everyone! Keep the Team LV spirit going strong!
Breast Cancer Survivor
I Am A Breast Cancer Survivor!!
I originally started this website right after I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in July 2010. I wanted to share my story with others and track my journey. As I reflect back, it's hard to believe where I am today compared to where I started. I had a long road ahead of me and a lot of treatment. The initial treatment part of the journey is now complete. I have had a bilateral mastectomy and 4 rounds of chemo. I have lost my hair and now wait for its safe return. I have met tons of new people and heard inspiring stories. Most importantly, I realized how many great family and friends I have as supporters.
Although my journey with Breast Cancer will never officially be complete, I am now ready to take that next step and live as a survivor. I plan to continue to write about my journey and can't wait to see what lies ahead as a Breast Cancer Survivor.

23 MILES. TWO DAYS. ONE GREAT CAUSE.
2011 AVON 2 DAY WALK - CHICAGO
Start with an unbelievably important cause. Add two friends, mix with over 2000 other people and you get a major walk for breast cancer. A couple other ingredients you should have on hand include: 40 miles of a great city to walk through, a couple pairs of seriously tired feet, a tent, tons of supporters and maybe even a random makeover. Wendy and I walked 23 miles this weekend in support of ending breast cancer. We raised just under $4000!!! I felt like we made a difference this weekend. It was really awesome. Thanks to everyone for supporting me in this unbelievable journey.

And So The Breast Cancer Journey Begins
After being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 32, my first thought was I am too young. My second thought was, were there any other women out there like me? As I did research, I started to realize there weren't as many people wearing my shoes as I thought.
Only a short time has passed since my initial diagnosis. As my mind cleared, I figured one of the only ways I could make it through this was if my story could potentially help other women.
I have named my journey 32AB. It means 32 After Breast Cancer. It doesn't mean that I am a survivor yet. All it means now is my life after the breast cancer diagnosis at 32. Everything changed for me on Day 1 - 32AB. That was diagnosis day which became official on 7/13/10. It was the day my life changed forever.
So, this is a blog of my story....
HAPPY PINK HOLIDAYS!!!
